WWW.Wikepedia: The International Labor Organization On Work and Labor

The International Labour Organization was formed in 1919 as part of the League of Nations to protect worker's rights. The ILO later became incorporated into the United Nations. The UN itself backed workers rights by incorporating several into two articles of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. These read:

[edit]Article 23

Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favorable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment.

Everyone, without any discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work.

Everyone who works has the right to just and favorable remuneration ensuring for himself and his family an existence worthy of humandignity, and supplemented, if necessary, by other means of social protection.

Everyone has the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests.[1]

[edit]Article 24

Everyone has the right to rest and leisure, including reasonable limitation of working hours and periodic holidays with pay.

The ILO and several other groups have sought international labor standards to create legal rights for workers across the world. Recent movements have also been made to encourage countries to promote labor rights at the international level through fair trade.[1]

Coconut Burgers

Burgers are just easy and lovely to eat!

Of course, there are food chains around, and burger houses to visit and munch and lusciously cut with your teeth! Kids and adults love burgers, and mothers can also cook them easily. There are lots of these recipes and cooking styles.

Let me share one recipe, if you have an abundant coconut resource. But then, don't cheat. They're not a substitute for meat or any main ingredient. Tell them exactly, it is made of grinded/ shredded coconut. Coco Burger is uniquely made from coconut!

Here's how:

Ingredients:

1 whole coconut meat (grinded or shredded)

Some flour or cornstarch to let the coconut stick to each other

6 slices of cream bread/ loaf slices

1 egg

A dash of salt and pepper

Procedure:

1. Put the coconut is a large mixing bowl.

2. Add one egg (yolk and white).

3. Wet (but not so wet) the slices of bread (dip into mineral/drinking water in a another bowl).

4. Add to coconut mixture. Mix well.

5. Add around 6 tablespoons of cornstarch (or flour). Check if they the burger mixture sticks together to form patties. If not add more fillers (flour or cornstarch).

6. Add some salt and pepper.

7. You can add herb and spices if you like.

8. Form into patties. Flatten and you can freeze or cook.

9. To cook, fry just like frying meat or fish burgers.

10. Serve with mustard or tomato catsup.

11. Make a sandwich with fresh tomatoes and cucumber.

How to make your bread/sandwich meal yummy: Spread mayonnaise, or sandwich spread, or butter on your bread as desired. Lay on your sandwich some vegetables like lettuce or cucumber. Add the burger patty. Add some cheese. Add fresh tomato and/or onion. Sprinkle some pepper or salt, as desired. Add some mustard or ketchup as desired.

After all the stuff on your bread, put another bread slice on top. Or you can you get a French bread, too. Of course, you can always make variations. Eat now!

Also, please don't forget to say grace before and/or after the meal. Thank you God for the food. Yum!

Coconut fruit is usually grown in tropical countries and around many places in the world. Its juice is good for stomach cleansing, but be sure to take something hot first in the morning. Its meat can be eaten raw and in its shell. They are thirst quenching, especially during summer and in beach parties.

Sometimes lychee fruit is good to add to coconut juice for more flavour or variation. Also, ice-cream can be eaten with the fruit, like our common banana and strawberries.

Happy cooking!

The Basics Of Organizing A Kitchen

"Keep the kitchen clean."

Why? It must be kept clean because you make food in the kitchen, and that food will be taken for nourishment. Being clean and getting the right foods is cheaper than being confined in a hospital.

The kitchen has to be comfortable as the living room because everyone gathers together in the kitchen, as in the dining room.

There must be shelves and a cupboard, among others. If the kitchen is small, then get a small kitchen organizer or clean side tables.

Check these organizing and kitchen tips:

Rags, mats, and/or carpets must be kept dry. When the rag is dirty, wash it immediately.

Polish or scrub your kitchen as you do your living room.

The sink must be washed every time it is used.

Sponges for glasses and plates must be replaced often.

Gas must be turned off, immediately after use.

Pots and pans must be scrubbed to remove blackness.

Try to fill the basic kitchen needs like sugar, salt, coffee, tea, chocolate, milk or creamer, and the most important, mineral water.

Group your condiments and some ingredients, as to use and safely. Put labels on jars if refilled.

Freeze the foods that are needed to be frozen.

Be sure the table cover and mats are fresh and not stinky.

Cupboards and/or cabinets must be thoroughly dusted, as scheduled.

Stocks must be checked for expiry dates.

Budget for you rice, bread or noodles; they're necessary.

Spray insecticide, at least one a week or one every 2-3 weeks. Take the water-based kind. Use them when all foods are inside the refrigerator and/or freezer.

Garbage must be tidied and taken out everyday.

Clean the kitchen surroundings every time you cook, like sweeping and scrubbing the floor. If there's carpet, vacuum it.

Pick up food crumbs; they're inviting to roaches, ants, and other insects.

Be sure the chairs are strong, you might fall.

Knives, scissors, matches and candles must always be returned in its proper place.

Check the electricity, and turn off or unplug if appliances are not in use.

Let dry towels and sponges after use.

Empty bottles and cans are supposed to be away from the kitchen perimeters.

Get tight containers for other food storage, but stack and arrange them orderly.

Keep the kitchen safe, clean, comfortable and fragrant no matter how big or small it is. Remember meals are sacred and the foods we eat are a grace from God.

Organizing a kitchen can be practiced. Just stick to the basics. A well-equipped center and simplification of work and labor will lead to kitchen efficiency and easy handling of the kitchen and/or kitchen grooming habits.

Keep your surroundings clean. Keep your kitchen clean and be healthy!

Love Notes and Candies

"Writing love notes," some say "...are for high school students." Way back in time, inside candy wrappers were love and caring notes: "Kiss me, I miss you, I love you... and a lot more." They're chocolates, hard candies, mints, sour balls and mallows everyone loves to eat.

But did you know that even adults are fascinated with these love-note craze? It's the same attending a wedding reception and everyone in the party becomes excited from the notes in the cake flowers, like "You'll soon meet your prince charming," or " Next week prepare for a romantic dinner."

Some teenagers use candy wrappers to make scribbles and give to friend, designed with stickers and with real candies and chocolates.

Loot bags come filled with messages and notes of specialized posters given during parties both for the young kids and the Mommy's. These are packages that culminate a gathering and occasions.

How to write love notes and make candies/chocolates:

1. Love Notes

Be creative.
Write from your heart's desire.
Get inspired with people, books, and life.
You can print from a computer, or write long hand.
Tuck notes with candies/container safely.
Be sure to make surprising effects.

2. Candies

You can roll powdered milk with some amount of condensed milk, then sugar. Mould in a tray, cut and wrap.

You can also make into small balls, then roll into sugar.

Or:

Make "Yema" balls. Boil a can of condensed milk around an hour (estimate till condensed milk turns brown)

Form balls. This is ready to eat. Or if you want, dip into newly cooked caramelized sugar. Wait till candy hardens.

3. Chocolates

Bars can be cooked in low heat or microwave (as directed in the chocolate bar baking time). Quickly pour chocolate into molder. Wait till chocolate hardens.

Or: you can have marshmallows, cornflakes, cookies, strawberries, nuts in your chocolates before putting it to molder.

These are your personalized candies and foodie treats that could go with the love-note you've created.

However, if you are busy and cannot cook and prepare the candies and chocolates; varied sweets are around supermarkets and stores. Just take your pick of M&M's, LifeSavers, sour balls, Hersheys, marshmallows, chocolate pies, cookies, gummies - and attach the note that you've written for your friend on a card or gift tag.

What more? Halloween is coming, Christmas is coming, New Year and Valentine. Sweets never go unwanted they're sought and will make special gifts for friends, families, and everyone special. Please don't forget to share...

Herbal Supplements

Folklore would not be complete without its many traditional, and oftentimes herbal medications, remedies, and healing methods. In fact, different countries have methods and treatments that are unique. The healing power of herbs - whether culled from the people of yore or learned in a 21st century lab - has effects that cannot be denied.

Among the world's earliest civilizations, food and medicine were inextricably linked, and many plants were eaten for their health-giving properties. For example, armies of slave workers who laboured to build the Egyptian pyramids survived on a meal which included a daily ration of garlic in order to ward off pestilence and fever.

Consider too, the dark age of Europe, into the medieval period, when herbs were painstakingly grown in monasteries. Each monastery had its own "Physics" garden, abounding in herbs that were used to treat the ailments of both the monks and the local folks who dwelled in the surrounding areas.

From indigenous local fruits and vegetables that are organically grown come combination of extracts for healing, stamina, and as body supplements. The mode of extraction follows a traditional method, like the fruit fermentation process, among others.

I. For treatment requiring the use of plants, take the following guides

1.Use only one plant medicine at a time.
2. Use only stainless or earthen cooking utensils (Aluminum reacts chemically with medicinal elements in plants.
3.Don't cover cooking utensil when boiling (to release toxins).
4.Take decoction either hot or cold. Strain before taking it.
5. Wash thoroughly leaves, barks, flowers, roots.
6. Individual with allergic reactions to with some plants are not encouraged to use herbal medications.

II. Herbal medication for constipation

Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Have a regular time to sit down on the toilet bowl. Have a regular exercise. Eat plenty of green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits.

Papaya/Carica Papaya (ripe fruit). Eat one big slice every morning for breakfast.

Yellow Bell. Boil 5 leaves in 2 glasses of water for 10 minutes. Drink at least 2 glasses a day.

Malunggay leaves/Horse Radish tree. Eat one cup boiled leaves with meals.

Take this caution: Remember that healing wonders of herbs are not substitutes for the doctor's prescription. Consult a doctor if necessary.
